McDonald's Giving Away Free Coffee in Honor of National Coffee Day

Sept. 29 is National Coffee Day and in celebration of the occasion McDonald's will be giving away free coffee for a week to customers in Monroe and other cities across the country.

To celebrate National Coffee Day on Sept. 29, McDonald's is giving a free coffee to customers in Monroe for an entire week.

“Serving hot, freshly brewed coffee is a universal way to show appreciation and we’re thrilled to share our Premium Roast McCafe Coffee with customers for free,” said John Tamasi, Atlanta area owner/operator.  “No strings attached – just visit a participating McDonald’s and enjoy a free small coffee at one of our 285 restaurants in the Atlanta area.”

According to a press release from McDonald's, recent findings by the National Coffee Association found that Coffee isn’t just for breakfast anymore. Daily coffee consumption soared by 7 percent in 2011, according to the 2012 National Coffee Drinking Trends report. This increase has reportedly moved coffee solidly ahead of soft drinks.

Kim Leslie of MLS, representing McDonald's, said the McDonald's in Monroe will offer each customer a small Premium Roast McCaféCoffee from Sept. 23 - Sept. 29.
