Monroe Shooting Victim Remains Hospitalized in a Critical Condition

Reggie Hickman, 40, remains in a critical condition in an area hospital, according to Walton County Sheriff's Office. Hickman was shot multiple times on March 5, 2013 at a location on Mountain Creek Church Road in Monroe, Ga.
At this point, five people have been arrested in connection with the incident. Walton County Chief Deputy Keith Brooks said the investigation is ongoing and more charges and arrests are pending.
Hickman has had previous contact with law enforcement, according to WCSO. Hickman was lured to the location on Mountain Creek Church Road on the pretext of a drug deal. One of the subjects involved, however, was owned money by Hicks. The situation escalated and Hickman was shot. He attempted to leave the scene, but collapsed on the side of the road and a passing motorist called 911. According to jail records, Hickman has previously lived in Walton and Gwinnett counties as well as Stone Mountain and the state of Florida.
