Monroe to Participate in the Great American Clean Up
Officials are urging neighborhoods to use the occasion to clean up the area and "showcase the beauty of Monroe."

In honor of Earth Day and Georgia Cities Week, the City of Monroe is participating in the Great American Clean Up from April 22 β 26.
βThere will be no charge for dumping trash at the Cherry Hill transfer station,β Sadie Krawczyk, the new Main Street program director for Monroe said at last weekβs called council meeting. βLetβs clean up and letβs be good neighbors and showcase the beauty of Monroe.β
The Public Works Transfer Station is located at 213 Cherry Hill Road, Monroe. Krawczyk asked that people help neighbors who may not be able to clean up themselves. She also suggested that church groups, youth groups, Scouts troops etc. use the occasion for some community service projects and help in the effort.
