News Nearby: Missing Oconee County Hunter Found Alive

Authorities report the 72-year-old was located Sunday morning in the woods in Oglethorpe County.

After four nights in a wooded area in Oglethorpe County, missing Oconee County resident Don Truluck has been found alive, officials reported Sunday morning.

72-year-old Truluck had last been seen Wednesday afternoon headed toward a deer camp in Maxeys. A massive search that included Oconee County Fire and Rescue personnel was launched. Volunteers were asked to assemble around 8 a.m. Sunday to comb the area surrounding the deer camp on Bryant Road.

The Oconee County Sheriff's Office posted on Facebook around 10 a.m. that Truluck had been found alive and authorities were working on getting him out of the woods.  Other details about the rescue weren't immediately available.

Don Truluck is the father of Oconee County Fire and Rescue Station 8 Assistant Chief Mike Truluck.
