No Charges Filed In Wreck That Totaled a Walton County Fire Truck

The accident happened in the early morning hours of Thursday, June 6, 2013, according Georgia State Patrol.

A Georgia State Patrol spokesman said that no charges were filed in an early morning accident that significantly damaged the fire truck.

"At 4:27 a.m. Thursday morning, a Walton Co. fire truck was traveling eastbound on GA 138 when it attempted to make a U-turn in order to travel westbound on GA 138," the GSP spokesman reported, adding that the lights on the fire truck were activated. "As the fire truck made the U-turn, a 2002 Chevrolet S10 pickup  truck, traveling westbound on GA 138, struck the rear of the fire truck."

The driver of the fire truck was 39-year-old Scott Votava of Monroe. The driver of the Chevrolet was Mark Brado, 26, also from Monroe. According to GSP, Brado complained of a minor injury, but was not transported.
