Odelle Shumate Blasingame, age 97 of Monroe, passed away March 29, 2013. Graveside services were held on Monday, April 1, 2013 at Rest Haven Cemetery in Monroe with Rev. Paul Baxley officiating.

Mrs. Blasingame was Chief Clerk to her husband, J.B. Blasingame, Probate Judge of Walton County for 32 years. She was a member of First Christian Church of Monroe. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Blasingame, who died in 2004, and is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Dwayne Blasingame of Athens; daughter, Marie Patton of Marietta; sister, Helen Jones of Monroe; grandchildren, Bryan and Jennifer Blasingame of Atlanta, Greg and Kelley Blasingame of Athens, Janna Blasingame of Jacksonville, FL, Honor and Tracy Hannon of Marietta; 7 great-grandchildren.
