Obituary: Rita Elizabeth Sulpy, 82, of Monroe, Ga.
Services will be held on Sunday, March 10 at 2:30 at the Church of Christ at Snellville, 3025 Lenora Church Rd, Suite D, Snellville, GA

Rita Elizabeth Sulpy, 82, of Monroe, GA passed peacefully away on March 4, 2013. Born and raised in East New Market, Maryland, Mrs. Sulpy and her late husband, Lee Sulpy, moved to Atlanta in 1979, where she worked for many years as an Executive Secretary while also devoting time to teaching English as a Second Language to adult learners. In her retirement she volunteered as a teaching assistant to middle-school children from diverse linguistic backgrounds, narrated textbooks for sight-impaired college students, and pursued her own love of learning. Independent, feisty, and incredibly giving, she leaves behind many loved ones to smile at her memory, including sons Leo (Vicki), Steven, and Michael (Janette) Sulpy, daughters Maria (Joe) Hopkins, and Lisa Sulpy; grandchildren Lauren Fletcher, Danielle Skelton, Megan Wiles, Katherine Respaldiza, David Sulpy, Janet Henry, Shannon Smith, Tonya Smith, and Matthew Bannister; great-granddaughter Joy Evangelina Respaldiza; and brother Neil (Kay) Frampton.
Services will be held on Sunday, March 10 at 2:30 at the Church of Christ at Snellville, 3025 Lenora Church Rd, Suite D, Snellville, GA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Kidney Fund per Mrs. Sulpy's wishes. Condolences may be viewed or sent to www.wagesfuneralhome.com.
