Sale of Beer and Wine Approved for New Movie Theater in Nearby Oconee County

The Oconee County Board of Commissioners voted this week to approve the sale of beer and wine at the movie theater under construction at the Epps Bridge Center in neighboring Oconee County.

The Athens Banner-Herald reports the vote was unanimous to grant an alcohol license to Georgia Theatre Company for the restaurant portion of University 16 Cinemas. The restaurant will include auditorium 8, one of the 16 auditoriums within the complex. 

The theater is set to open in June.
