Vehicle Theft, Foot Chase and Man Shoots Himself in Leg in Latest WCSO Reports
Walton County Sheriff's Office Deputies also arrested a subject for DUI and for leaving the scene of an accident during the period May 24 - 28, 2013.

Zone 1
- Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to a residence alarm on Kari Brook Lane in Kari Brook Estates. All doors and windows appeared secure.
- Chase – A subject was arrested on Monroe Jersey Rd. & Twin Pines Rd. after fleeing a traffic stop on foot. The subject was apprehended and found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamines, hydrocodone, phentermine, syringes, a pipe, and a .38-caliber revolver.
- Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to a residence alarm on Davan Lane in Dutch Crossing. All doors and windows appeared secure.
- Firearms – A subject was warned after he was found to be shooting a firearm in an unsafe manner on Lower Jersey Rd.

- Theft – Extra patrol was requested at a business on Hawkins Academy Rd. in reference to signs being taken from the property.
- Dispute – Juveniles were warned to stop trespassing on a property on Peters Cemetery Rd.
- Damage to Property – All four tires on a vehicle were slashed on Hwy 11. A suspect has been named.
 Zone 3
- Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Jacks Creek Rd. @ Turkey Mountain Trail. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.
- Shoplifting – A white male driving a gold Honda passenger vehicle, took a bag of ice from a convenience store on Hwy 11 without paying.
- Juvenile Problem – Juvenile were warned for Criminal Trespass after damaging a property on Powers Rd. @ Willow Park Drive.

- Extra Patrol – An orange motorcycle and a red Honda Civic were reportedly speeding in the area of Apalachee Falls in Apalachee Falls subdivision. Extra Patrol requested.
- Assault – A subject alleged to have been harassed and hit in the face by black males on Elizabeth Drive in Green Acres Subdivision.  Â
Zone 5
- Damage to Property – Firecrackers were put in a mailbox at a residence on Lee Peters Rd.
- Juvenile Complaint – A suspicious vehicle was seen in a parking lot at a convenience store on Hwy 81. Walton County deputies found drugs on the juvenile driver.
- Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to a residence alarm on Maple Creek Ridge in Maple Creek subdivision. All doors and windows appeared secure.
- Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to a residence alarm on Bluff Creek Trail in Alcovy Bluffs subdivision. All doors and windows appeared secure.
- Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to a residence alarm White Oak Circle in Providence Club subdivision. All doors and windows appeared secure.
- Theft – A utility trailer was stolen from a residence on Piney Grove Rd.
- Structure Fire – An electrical fire occurred at a modular home on Etchison Spur. Everyone made it out safely.
- Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Highway 81 @ Watson Mill Drive. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.
- Burglary Attempt – The main door at a business on Bold Springs Rd. was found unlocked after an alarm sounded. A suspect has been named. Nothing was missing.
- Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to a residence alarm on Raleigh Way in River Colony subdivision. All doors and windows appeared secure.
- Stolen Vehicle – A vehicle was stolen from Wedgewood Drive in The Highlands subdivision.
- Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to a residence alarm on Richmond Place in Richmond Place subdivision. All doors and windows appeared secure.
- Disturbing the Peace – Juveniles were warned for riding dirt bikes on Wedgewood Drive in The Highlands subdivision.
- Gunshot Wound – A subject on Dogwood Dell Drive shot himself in the leg and was airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center.
- Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on New Hope Church Rd. @ Double Springs Church Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.
- Vehicle Accident – A subject was arrested for DUI and for leaving the scene of an accident. The subject’s vehicle caused damages at a property on Ridgewood Rd.
- Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on New Hope Church Rd. @ Double Springs Church Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.
- Vehicle Accident – A subject was arrested for DUI and for leaving the scene of an accident. The subject’s vehicle caused damages at a property on Ridgewood Rd.Â

- Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Miller Bottom Rd. @ S Sharon Church Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.
- Noise Complaint – Walton County deputies responded twice on Harrison Drive in Harrison Mill subdivision in reference to noise generated by a graduation party.
- Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Miller Bottom Rd. @ Flagstone Way. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.
- Extra Patrol – A bag of feces was caught on fire and left on the front porch of a residence on Victoria Park Drive in Victoria Park subdivision.
- Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to a residential alarm on Victoria Park Drive in Victoria Park subdivision. All doors and windows appeared secure.
- Property Damage – Multiple mailboxes were damaged on Dove Drive. Extra Patrol requested.Â

- Fireworks – Fireworks were set off on Stone Crest Place in Stone Crest subdivision.
- Alarm - Walton County deputies responded to a residential alarm on Stewart Lake Rd. All doors and windows appeared secure.
