Vehicle Theft, Vandalism and Prowler Alert in Recent WCSO Calls

Walton County Deputies continue to conduct random safety checks around the county, checking on driving criteria - licenses, insurance and registration.

Walton County Sheriff's Office responded to the following complaints on May 7.

Zone 1

  • Trespassing – A complaint was made about subjects fishing at a lake on Forrester Cemetery Rd. without permission.
  • Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm call on Lakeshore Court in Lakeshore Estates.

  • Prowler – A subject reportedly knocked on the bedroom window at a residence on Snows Mill Rd. then left. A truck was seen pulling out of the driveway.

Zone 4

  • Suspicious Activity – A subject was arrested on River Run Drive in Apalachee Falls subdivision for driving without a license. The subject stated he was in the area to sell a pair of shoes.

  • Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Carl Davis Road at Walker Park Elementary. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.
  • Vandalism – Trash was dumped on a property on Forest Court in Forest Ridge subdivision.
  • Stolen Vehicle – A white 2006 Ford Econoline Van was taken from a business on Nathan Boulevard. Company checks were also taken from the business. A suspect has been named in the theft.
