Walton County Resident Facing Charges for Illegally Hunting Black Bear

In the latest Department of Natural Resources law enforcement report, is an incident of illegally hunting by a Walton County Resident.

According to the report, two DNR rangers interviewed a subject from Walton County regarding illegal bear hunting in Union County. Charges are pending against the subject who reportedly admitted to harvesting the bear over bait. Several other charges are reportedly pending. The name of the subject was not given.

In the latest law enforcement report by the DNR, several people in other counties also were charged with illegally hunting deer out of season.
