Job description: Administers standardized and informal tests and assists in pupil profiles, corrects homework and class work, noting and reporting weak areas, observes child behavior and writes reports, assists children with written compositions, spelling, punctuation and grammar, teaches etiquette and good manners, supervises children staying after school, sets up classroom exhibits, keeps attendance records and prepares and supervises student work areas
Qualifications: High school diploma, two years of college credit from an accredited educational institution to meet the No Child Left Behind requirements or a passing score on the paraprofessional assessment, ability to relate to and work with students and adults in a positive manner, effective oral and written communication skills
