WCSO Investigating Alleged Carjacking on County Line

Walton County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following incidents between April 17 and 21, 2013.

Zone 1

• Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Waters Edge Drive in Lake Walton Estates. All windows and doors appeared secure.
• Assault – A subject reported being assaulted at Affordable Auto Sales over a repossessed vehicle.

Zone 2

• Stolen Vehicle – A blue 2005 dodge Ram was taken from a residence on Amber Stapp Studdard Rd.
• Carjacking – A subject was carjacked at the Morgan/Walton County line at Hwy 278. A tall, slender black male and a heavyset black female reportedly stole a vehicle at gunpoint. Click here for follow-up.
• Theft – Copper was taken from a location operated by Georgia Power on Social Circle Fairplay Rd.

Zone 3

• Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Mulberry Creek Drive in Poppyfield Farm subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.
• Safety Checks – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Jacks Creek Rd. @ Turkey Mountain Trail. Deputies checked for the necessary driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.
• Suspicious Person – A report was made on Michael Etchison Rd. in reference to someone around a residence with a flashlight.

 Zone 4

• Burglary – An unknown person entered a residence on Louise Drive in Green Acres through an unsecured window. Electronics were taken. Possible suspect has been named.
• Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Shadow Wood Drive @ Emmett Doster Rd.
• Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Sims Bridge Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

Zone 5

• Entering Auto – An unlocked vehicle was entered on Raleigh Way in River Colony subdivision. An Ipod was taken from the vehicle.
• Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Bold Springs Rd. @ Bentley Rd.
• Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm in Ivey Plantation on Bold Springs Rd. All windows and doors appeared secure.
• Theft – An employee at Dollar General off Hwy 11 was reported for possibly stealing merchandise.
• Suspicious Vehicle – A blue commercial van was reportedly driving slowly through the area of Apalachee Ridge.
• Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Arden Crest Way. All windows and doors appeared secure.
• Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Watson Mill Drive. All windows and doors appeared secure.
• Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Maple Cove Lane. All windows and doors appeared secure.
• Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Ivey Drive. All windows and doors appeared secure.
• Animal Complaint – A complaint was made on Cliff Top Drive in reference to canines being loose. The canines were not vicious.
• Burglary – A residence was burglarized on Ridgewood Rd. in Ridgewood subdivision.
• Entering Auto – An unlocked vehicle was entered on Ivey Brook Drive in Ivey Brook subdivision. A wallet was taken.
• Entering Auto – A vehicle was entered on Ivey Brook Drive in Ivey Brook subdivision. Nothing was taken.
• Entering Auto – An unlocked vehicle was entered on Ivey Brook Drive in Ivey Brook subdivision.
• Entering Auto – An unlocked vehicle was entered on Ivey Brook Drive in Ivey Brook subdivision. Nothing was taken.
• Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was reported on Grady Smith Rd. in reference to speeding vehicles.

Zone 6

• Firearm – Gunshots were heard in the area of Centerhill Church Rd.
• Theft – Batteries and a depth finder were stolen from a barn on Youth Monroe Rd.
• Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Rabbit Farm Rd.
• Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Winding Grove Lane in Waverly subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.
• Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Nunnally Farm Rd. in Nunnally Forest subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure

Zone 7

• Firearms – Subjects were found shooting on the power line on Harvest Way in Fields at Shiloh.
• Disturbance – Loud music was reported on Alcovy Station Rd.
• Firearms – Gun shots were heard in the Briscoe Drive area.
• Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Madeline Court in Forest Brooks subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.
