1 Million Bank Customers Move Money

Credit unions have raked in 4.5 billion dollars in new deposits, according to ABCNews.

β€œAs of today, one million American consumers are hurling a lightning bolt at the big banks, moving their money out,” Diane Sawyer at ABC news reported Friday.

Big banks dropped the $5 debit card fee, but many customers claim they are unhappy with overdraft and ATM use fees as well.

"I don't care that Bank of America has dropped the [debit card] fee," said Northeast Cobb resident Tracy Carson outside theΒ Bank Of America on Saturday. "I don't like how banks have treated consumers. We bail them out, and they give their executives big bonuses. I don't mind paying reasonable fees, but I'm sick of their greed."

β€œBig banks say that no matter what happens, they will have to recover those revenues,"Β ABC news concluded, adding that banks are expected to raise fees even higher on remaining customers.
