2 Marietta Restaurants Named to Georgia's '100 Plates' List

Two restaurants in Marietta have made Georgia Tourism's 100 Plates Locals Love list.

MARIETTA, GA -- When you think about Marietta's dining scene, there are many restaurants that do a lot of things well. But it is the rare eatery that excels at one dish to the point that it becomes renown. Yet two Marietta restaurants have done just that and they've gotten some much-deserved state recognition.

Georgia Tourism's 100 Plates Locals Love list placed Marietta eateries The Butcher The Baker at 23 N Park Square and Kitchen Seed & Bar at 1311 Johnson Ferry Rd #504 as two spots with panache. At the Kitchen Seed, the White Corn Grit Fritters get a huge shout-out: "Served with jalapeño pepper jelly and Thomasville Tomme. The jalapeño pepper jelly is essential to the flavor of the dish. Perfectly paired!" says commenter Emily P.
The Lemon Curd Tart is singled out as one of many top options at The Butcher The Baker by none other than James Beard Award-winning chef Hugh Acheson, who knows a thing or two about neat eats. "Really anything at this restaurant is perfect. They are gems as chefs go. Do not skip dessert!"
The 100 Plates list offers visitors to Georgia a hand in choosing restaurants that represent the area's culture and locally sourced foods. One makes the list unique is that rather than judging entire eateries, the list provides specific dishes that are unparalleled.
