
Ovit Kenneth Foster, age 75, of Marietta died December 30, 2010. Born May 25, 1935 in Ooltewah, TN., he was the ninth child and only son of Harvey A. and Della T. Foster of Dalton, Georgia. He attended Reinhardt College and was employed by Lockheed Corp. until his retirement in 1990. He was then employed by British Aerospace as their United States representative. He was very involved in his community, Reinhardt, and his church until his health declined. He was a member and deacon of Marietta First Baptist Church. The Men's Sunday School class was very special to him. He was a true servant of God and loved helping others.
He was blessed with ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters, Mable Alexander of Dawsonville, Ga., Tommie Foster and Mary Nell Elliott of Dalton, Ga. and many nieces and nephews. ο»Ώ
Memorial Services will be held on Monday, January 3, 2011 at 11:00 am at Marietta First Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Foster and Rev. Dean Hunter officiating. The family will receive friends from 4-7 pm on Sunday, January 2, 2011 at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to the following: Marietta First Baptist Church, Marietta, GA 30060; Reinhardt University- Ovit Foster Scholarship Fund, Office of Development, 7300 Reinhardt Circle, Waleska, GA 30183; or Wellstar Community Hospice, 4040 Hospital West Dr. Marietta, GA 30008.
