Sprayberry Grad Completes Air Force Basic Training

Air Force Reserve Airman Chelsea G. Smith graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

Smith completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Smith is the daughter of Carolyn Smith of Ramblewood Drive, Marietta, and Michael Smith of Oak Grove Lane, Acworth.

She graduated in 2004 from Sprayberry High School and received a bachelor's degree in 2008 from Georgia State University.
