'Booked for Lunch' Author at Atlanta Country Club

Novelist Claire Cook, author of "Must Love Dogs" and the forthcoming "Time Flies," will be the featured guest at the Cobb Library Foundation's "Booked for Lunch" event on May 22 at the Atlanta Country Club.

The luncheon, a special event before the book's public release, begins at 11:30 a.m. and the program ends at 1 p.m. The cost is $30 a person and tickets may be ordered online.

"Time Flies" is Cook's 10th novel. It is described as "an epic road trip filled with fun, heartbreak, and friendship, and explores what it takes to conquer your worst fears.

"Years ago, Melanie followed her husband, Kurt, from the New England beach town where their two young sons were thriving to the suburbs of Atlanta. Cook published her first novel at 45. A native of Virginia, she was a longtime resident of Massachusetts and recently moved to suburban Atlanta to be closer to her family.
