Cherokee Church Expands to Shallowford Road

Woodstock First Baptist Church invites the public to join in the launching of its new Shallowford Satellite Campus on Sunday, April 21.

Woodstock First Baptist Church is opening two local campuses. One is the Shallowford location at 3662 Shallowford Road and the other is in Jasper. Pastor Johnny Hunt is the Senior Pastor of Woodstock First Baptist Church. He will be overseeing the teaching at both church campuses.

The East Cobb location was the home of Shallowford Falls Community Church.

On Sunday, Bible study for all ages begins at 9:30 a.m. as well as weekly student and children’s ministries.

The teaching time of the worship service will be a video feed (projected onto a large screen) of Pastor Hunt preaching from the main campus in Woodstock. The music and worship time will be live and led by musicians at the Shallowford campus. Rev. Jonathan Catanzaro will be the Campus Pastor.

Catanzaro has been mentored by Dr. Johnny Hunt at Woodstock First Baptist. He grew up in New Orleans and Wake Forest, N.C., where he served as an associate pastor. 

He obtained his Bachelor of Arts, Master of Divinity, and Master of Theology from the Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary before coming to Woodstock with his wife Elissa and their two children.
