Daily Devotional

Stop by Northeast Cobb to enjoy a daily devotional from the book of Proverbs.

Proverbs 16:32(KJV): "He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city."

To experience anger is not sinful. The Bible says that God Himself is angry about certain things. Anger is an emotion that every human being experiences. We should be angry when we see injustice and ill treatment toward other people and living creatures. God is angry when He sees the things that sinful people commit, that bring sorrow and tragedy to others who are innocent. The sin is not in experiencing anger, but rather in how we deal with it.

If we allow our anger to turn into vindictiveness and we practice the same kind of evil that was sent our way, then we become just as guilty as the one who we are angry at.
