Get Out to the Master Gardeners Lunch
It's Thursday, the weekend is around the corner, and you have no idea what to do. At Northeast Cobb Patch, we have compiled the best bets for a great weekend.

1.Cobb County Master Gardeners Lunch and Learn. "Native Plants in the Home Landscape" will be presented by Beck Blades. Plants that call Georgia home can add beauty throughout the year to your garden, plus provide habitat for native birds and butterflies that bring even more color to your garden. Bring your lunch. 2. Cobb Executive Women Luncheon. Speaker Chanda Bell, co-author of The Elf on the Shelf and co-founder of Creatively Classic Activities and Books, will talk about her work and success. 3. Cobb Animal Control Adopt-A-Thon. Cobb Animal Control is competing in the ASPCA Save More Lives Challenge to find “forever homes” for animals. Visit the Adopt-A-Thon on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is plenty to see and do for the whole family—vendors, food, animal rescue groups, police K-9 demonstrations, raffles, special adoption rates and a chance to meet the new on-staff veterinarian.
