3. Cobb Animal Control Adopt-A-Thon. Cobb Animal Control is competing in the ASPCA Save More Lives Challenge to find “forever homes” for animals. Visit the Adopt-A-Thon on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is plenty to see and do for the whole family—vendors, food, animal rescue groups, police K-9 demonstrations, raffles, special adoption rates and a chance to meet the new on-staff veterinarian.
