Gingerbread House Competition, Cash Prize for Schools

Cobb County high schools are invited to participate in the first ever Gingerbread House Competition as part of Brasstown Valley Resorts annual holiday celebration.

The Brasstown Valley Resort in Young Harris invites Cobb County high schools to compete in the first ever Gingerbread House Competition as part of the resort's annual holiday celebration. Up to 18 Georgia high schools are invited to take the challenge to build the most creative Gingerbread House in the state.

Prizes are given to the winning school in the form of a check; $500 for the first place, $300 for second and $200 for third place.

  • Marietta High School / Marietta GA
  • Tallauh Falls High School / Tallauh GA
  • Chattanooga Central High School / Harrison TN
  • Fannin County High School / Blue Ridge GA
  • Ben Franklin Academy / Atlanta GA
  • Putnam County High School / Eatonton GA
  • Druid Hills High School / Atlanta GA
  • Andrews High School / Andrews NC
  • Lakeview Academy / Gainesville GA
  • Heard County High School / Franklin GA

Judging for the winners will take place on Nov. 19 at Brasstown Valley Resort. The entries will remain on display through Jan. 2.
