Gritters Library to Celebrate 40th Birthday 70's Style

Festivities include dancing, author talk and Legos.

Gritters Library's will celebrate its 40th anniversary this month with some free "Celebrate the 70's" events. The library opened Nov. 19, 1973.

From the Cobb County Library System newsletter, the festivities include: 

Gritters 40th Anniversary Party on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2 to 4 p.m. Enjoy snacks, games, crafts, music and dancing to the sounds of the 70s.

Mystery of the Trees, a presentation by the authors of a book that documents trees in Native American culture, on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2 to 3 p.m. 

Lego Extravaganza, Wednesday, Nov. 20, 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Make some groovy creations.
