Junior League Gives Foster Kids St. Patty Day Party
This is the first party of its kind. It was the brainchild of Representative Judy Manning who is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Cobb-Marietta and currently serves on the JLCM Community Advisory Board.
The Junior League of Cobb-Marietta (JLCM) has invited 45 foster children and their families to participate in a St. Patrick's Day Party to be held at The Earl Smith Strand Theatre from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. With more than 500 children in Cobb County's foster care system, the League saw the need to raise awareness about Foster Care in Cobb County and celebrate these children and their families.
Children between the ages of 8 and 11 will enjoy crafts, cupcake decorating, face painting and goodie bags.
The Junior League is also proud to announce that two-time Greater Atlanta Magician of the Year, Joe M. Turner will make a special guest appearance at this event. Turner is an internationally known speaker, magician and mentalist. While he is primarily known as a corporate entertainer and conference keynote speaker, he regularly supports local charitable organizations with family-friendly special performances.
