Lady Trojan Swimmers Win at County
The Lassiter girls dominated the Cobb County Championships by a 19.5-point cushion on heated rival Walton.

The Lady Trojans may've lost three of their best swimmers to graduation, but that didn't stop them from claiming the Cobb County Championship.
Lassiter overcame Walton by winning Saturday's county meet with a score of 542 points.
Jordan Drake won the 100-yard freestyle and 100 breaststroke. Micaela Janco seized the 50 freestyle in an upset.
It was a close race between Drake and Kennesaw Mountain’s Melissa Postoll in the 100 freestyle. In the end, it was Drake’s hand that touched first, clocking in at 52.25 seconds—one-hundredth of a second ahead of Postoll.
Drake won the breastsroke against Kennesaw Mountain’s Morgan Stephenson with an all-American time of 1:06.13.
Janco showed the most impressive win for Lassiter with a strong start that beat Walton’s Charlotte Holz, North Cobb’s Julie Storch and Lassiter’s Ali Ramirez with a time of 25.21.
The Lady Trojans won one relay, the 200 freestyle, with a time of 1:39.84. The girls outscored Walton in all three relays and placed second in the medley.
