Lassiter Bids Farewell to Assistant Principal
Melissa Morse, one of Lassiter High School's Assistant Principals, is leaving her post.

Lassiter High School Assistant Principal Melissa Morse has accepted a job in the county office in the Curriculum and Instruction Department.
Morse spent five years as an administrator at Lassiter High School, serving as the Assistant Principal for Curriculum and Instruction.
A graduate of Lassiter High School, Morse went on to earn a B.A. in Political Science at Auburn University and an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Kennesaw State University. For ten years, Morse was a social studies teacher at Lassiter, focusing her instruction in Advanced Placement Government, College Prep Government, and Gifted World Geography. For two years she was Lassiter’s Social Studies Department Chairman and was selected as "Teacher of the Year" in 2001-2002 by her colleagues. For one year Morse worked as the Coordinator for the North Cobb School for International Studies before returning “home” to Lassiter as an administrator.
