Make Georgia a Safe Place to Bike

If you are a Northeast Cobb cyclist, follow these steps.

Georgia is currently ranked 49th in the nation as a safe place to ride bicycles. We can do better.

If you are a cyclist, here's how you can help:

  • Get a Share the Road license tag for your car/truck
  • Donate and sign up/follow with GeorgiaBikes!, our statewide advocacy organization
  • If you live in the Atlanta area, please become a paid member of the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition
  • Join in the Georgia Rides to the Capitol on March 27 and voice your support with over 2,000 other cyclists
  • Find a local advocacy organization in your community and get involved. Attend public hearings in your city/county and voice your support to include bicycling as a viable means of transportation and recreation
  • Have school-aged kids and would like for them to be able to safely walk or ride their bike to school safely? Get involved with your local Safe Routes to School program
  • In Cobb County, join Bike Cobb.

Lastly, the Southern Bicycle League is big a supporter of cycling efforts contributes to the cause. Check them out.
