More Rain Today? Commissioners Meet
Gather around the water cooler to discuss hot topics and what's happening in Northeast Cobb today, April 26.

1) Today there is a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 8 a.m. It will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 81. Tonight there is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2 a.m., with a low around 63, according to the National Weather Service.
2) The cheapest gas around today is $3.65 at the Phillips 66 at 2525 Powder Springs Rd. and Hurt Road.
3) The Cobb County commissioners are meeting at 7 p.m. in the commission boardroom at 100 Cherokee St., Marietta. Furlough days are on the agenda.

4) The Cobb Library Foundation is hosting "The Royal Tea" to benefit Cobb library's literacy program from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. The event will be held at the East Cobb Library and tickets are available at $35 for two and $10 for each additional person. People are encouraged to come dressed in their finest hats, fancy barrettes, gloves and boa scarves. Tickets are available at all Cobb libraries, or online.
