Northeast Cobb Residents Lose House in Fire
Two people escaped a blaze on Sterling Rd., with several cats lost in the fire.

Two adults lost their home to a fire Thursday at the 700 block of Sterling Road in Marietta.
The 911 call came in at 6:16 p.m. from a cable guy in the area, reports the .
Firefighters arrived to find heavy fire in the carport of the one-story ranch home.

"It took about 18 minutes to control the fire. Several cats were lost in the fire, but a snake and turtle were removed alive," Cobb fire spokeswoman Lt. Denell Boyd told Northeast Cobb Patch.
No one was hurt.

The two displaced adults did not need assistance from , she said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
