Northeast Cobb Road Work

A stretch of Shallowford Road will be closed for most of the summer as work continues on the Noonday Creek Park project.

The section of Shallowford from Jamerson and Canton roads to Noonday Creek Park will be closed until July 29. The hill cut will be adjusted to improve sight distance. Local residents are encouraged to take the detour from Shallowford and Bell Ferry roads to Hopkins Store and Canton roads.

Other closures include the New Chastain Road westbound bridge over Noonday Creek and the Paper Mill Road Bridge over Sope Creek.

New Chastain Road will be closed from June 1 until Sept. 16, and westbound traffic will be diverted to the two-lane eastbound side, with one lane each for eastbound and westbound traffic.

Paper Mill Road will be closed until Oct. 25. Local residents should take the detour from Paper Mill to Lower Roswell and Johnson Ferry roads.
