Northeast Cobb Road Work Update

Shiloh Road at Shallowford Road Construction
The contractor is planning to work this weekend, Oct. 26. Grading shoulders with no lane closures. The contractor will begin asphalt paving operations 7 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 27 to 6 a.m., Monday, Oct. 28. EXPECT DELAYS.

• Shiloh/Shallowford Road from Wade Green Road to Canton Road - Monday, Oct. 28 through Friday, Nov. 1. Expect periodic lane closures from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. with one lane open while the contractor continues asphalt paving operations from Wade Green Road to Wooten Lake Road. EXPECT DELAYS

New Chastain Road Westbound Bridge Replacement
The contractor is planning to work this weekend, Oct. 26-27.

• New Chastain Road over Noonday Creek - Monday, Oct. 28 through Friday, Nov. 1. New Chastain Road is open to traffic - two lanes in each direction. The project is substantially complete and contractor will continue punchlist work.

Shallowford Road Sidewalk Construction
The contractor is planning to work Saturday, Oct. 26 placing concrete sidewalk and driveways with lane closures. The contractor is not planning to work Sunday, Oct. 27.

• Tanbark Place to Blackwell Road - Monday, Oct. 28 through Friday, Nov. 1. Expect periodic lane closures from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. with one lane open while the contractor continues grading operations and placing concrete curb and sidewalk. 

Old Sewell Road Sidewalks Construction
The contractor is planning to work, Oct. 26-27.

• Holt Road to Old Canton Road - Monday, Oct. 28 through Friday, Nov. 1

Expect periodic lane closures from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. with one lane open while the contractor continues wall construction, installing storm drainage, and water main. Utilities will be relocating services.


Road Resurfacing**
Asphalt paving operations - which include lane closures though one lane will remain open at all times - are **scheduled next week, (Saturday, Oct. 26 and Monday, Oct. 28 through Friday, Nov. 1), on the following road: EXPECT DELAYS

Skip Spann Connector (Busbee-Frey Connector)
This proposed project is a new bridge over Interstate 75 that connects Frey Road to Busbee Drive just north of Chastain Road. A roundabout is proposed at the intersection of the Skip Spann Connector and Busbee Drive. For more, visit http://tinyurl.com/d6fuhbj


Construction update from GDOT - road work on North Marietta Parkway
Road closure on North Marietta Parkway between Wallace Road and Cobb Parkway from 11 p.m., Friday, Oct. 25 to 5 a.m., Monday, Oct. 28. This GDOT project is to replace the concrete slabs under the I-75 overpass and will include the closure of both I-75 ramps. This road closure will also take place next weekend Nov. 1-4.

Providence Road to Robinson Road - Periodic lane closures from 9 a.m. - 
4 p.m. with one lane remaining open in each direction at all times.
