Sprayberry Booster Charged with Theft
Stacy Danyelle Newton is accused of depositing track and field money into her own bank account.

A former treasurer of the track and field booster club has been charged with taking more than $2,000 from the group last year, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Between June and August 2011, Stacy Danyelle Newton, 44, of the 1900 block of Diplomat Lane in Kennesaw took $2,257.02 and deposited it into her personal account, the AJC said, citing Newton's arrest warrant.
records show that Newton was arrested Monday morning on a felony charge of theft by taking and was released that evening on $5,000 bond.
