Water Restrictions for Northeast Cobb

Gather around the water cooler to discuss what's happening today, June 3.

1. The Cobb County Board of Education will vote on bid to become superintendent during a special meeting Sunday at 3 p.m. Check back with Northeast Cobb Patch to find out if Hinojosa is voted in.

2. The Cobb County Water Restrictions Page reminds residents that water restrictions are in effect. These are the same water restrictions that have been in effect since 2006 or 2007 when the drought was awful. 3. According to Access North Georgia, civil liberties groups Thursday filed a lawsuit seeking to block a Georgia law that cracks down on illegal immigration, saying it violates state and federal law. What are your thoughts?

5. The Cobb State Court building in downtown Marietta was evacuated for about 90 minutes Thursday morning because of a bomb threat, but reopened for business before lunchtime. According to Patch, a bomb threat was called in at 9 a.m. The story said a colonel in the Sheriff's department indicated that a smoldering fire was discovered in a ceiling tile in a women's restroom in the State Court building, and that the fire was put out by Cobb County fire personnel.
