
1. Are you nervous about talking in front of groups? Could you public speaking skills use a boost? The Cobb Communicators MeetUp will teach you basic and advanced communication. Better listening skills and how to think quickly on your feet are also covered. The training will help you communicate one-to-one, over the phone, in small groups or before hundreds of people. When you know how to swim...it doesn't matter how deep the water is. The group is diverse, both by age and culture. There are singles, couples and families. 2. Give a gift that saves lives....... blood. The Red Cross needs you. Roll up your sleeves to help save lives. Every time you donate blood, you help give life to up to three people in need. St. Catherine's Episcopal Church Parish Hall, 571 Holt Road. 3 p.m. - 8 p.m.

3. Rabbits make great pets. They can be litter-trained just like cats. Have you thought about adopting a rabbit? Will your child receive a bunny as a gift over Easter? Join the Bunny 101 class offered by the House Rabbit Society North Georgia Chapter. The class covers everything from apple branches to white vinegar. This is what you need to know to make living with a house rabbit easy, healthy and fun. Saturday afternoon classes are taught by Christy Christensen or Darlene Love. Komen 3-Day for the Cure; or an old pro, your journey begins here. A Get Started Meeting will provide you with the information and inspiration you are looking for. You'll get a complete picture of what the 3-Day is like and how we support you to meet your fundraising and training goals. Register at the meeting and you'll get a free promise ring, plus all the tools you need to get started. If you’re already registered for the 3-Day, this meeting is for you, too. We’ll talk about training and fundraising, and get you the information you need to prepare for an amazing experience (plus a free promise ring!). Bring your friends and family (ask them to RSVP separately) so they can learn more about the 3-Day. 5. Bring your kids and friends to the Women's Self Defense Class Fundraiser to learn techniques and help support the Victoria Moon Family Assistance Fund and the Assailant Control Techniques (A.C.T.) Fund, which provides self defense classes for at-risk teens. Suggested donation is $50 per person or $80 per couple. Water provided.
