Yoga at Unity North Church

Stop in and meet with us daily around the water cooler to discuss hot topics in Northeast Cobb.

1. Have you ever wanted to try yoga but never got around to it? You can at Unity North Church's Yoga with Carolyn Purvis. Relax and revitalize body, mind and spirit through yoga. The class meets in the Kidz I & II room.Β  6:15 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Unity North Atlanta Church, 4255 Sandy Plains Road.

2. What are your kids up to during the spring break? Camp? Tell us in the Comment Box below what you've planned for your kids this week. It may help other parents.

3. Are you a senior who would like to learn how to use computers and browse the internet? You need to sign up for Computer for Seniors. It offers computer training for seniors at all five Cobb County Multipurpose Senior Centers. Classes are staffed by over forty volunteer instructors and coaches. They've trained over 700 satisfied seniors each year in a variety of courses ranging from an Introduction to the PC, Microsoft Works, PrintShop, through to a course on the Internet. The program is not holding classes during spring break due to equipment upgrades. The cost is $45 for resident and $50 for nonresident.Β If you'd like further information about this great program, contact Northeast Cobb senior class Program Coordinator Sandee Panichi at 770-509-4900. Class is held at the East Cobb Senior Center located at 3332 Sandy Plains Road.

4.It's midweek, why not get out this evening to enjoy a wine tasting? Marietta Wine Market, located at Marietta Square, is featuring the Barnard Griffin Winery. Founded in 1983 by Rob Griffin and Deborah Barnard, Barnard Griffin has been producing Award Winning wines for over 30 years. 5. Illegal immigration is a difficult issue to resolve when you have citizens against, and business and agriculture for it. Approximately 250 businessmen from various sectors of Georgia's agriculture industries sent a letter to Georgia lawmakers asking them to consider the effects on the state's economy that proposed legislation targeting illegal immigration could have.
