The Oconee County Board of Education at its meeting Monday recognized recent graduate Ashlen Bible for being named the Georgia High School Association's Class AAA Student Athlete of the Year.
Ashlen was a four-year varsity soccer player for the Lady Warriors under Coach Paul Dallas. She was also in the top five percent of her , according to the school board's website.
She will study abroad later this summer in Germany in the 13th grade through the Congress-Bundestag scholarship.
