senior Kurt Mueller has been selected as the 2011 DAR Good Citizen for the Reverend John Andrews Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Oconee County. After Kurt was chosen by the faculty and his fellow seniors as the 2011 DAR Good Citizen for Athens Academy, his essay went on to win the Oconee County chapter’s essay competition.
The Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizens Committee “recognizes and rewards high school seniors who possess good citizenship qualities of dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism in their homes, schools, and communities. Each award is given on a merit basis including completion of a questionnaire, essay, scholastic record, and a letter of recommendation.”

Kurt is the son of Eric and Monica Mueller of Watkinsville.
