At a meeting of the Oconee County Board of Commissioners on Aug. 7, 2012, retiring clerk Gina Lindsey Hansford was recognized for her 23 years of service.
Hansford was presented with a framed resolution of appreciation.
Her final day is Aug. 17, but she'll return to work in October at 40 percent time to train Jane Greathouse, who had previously served as deputy clerk.

Greathouse was appointed as interim clerk to serve out the remaining months of the term ending on Dec. 31, 2012.
When reached by phone Wednesday, Hansford said her work with the county has been a "wonderful experience."

"I've seen a lot of great changes with the county and worked with a lot of wonderful people," she said.
