The following appointments were made by the Oconee County Board of Commissioners at its July 10, 2012 meeting, according to the minutes provided by County Clerk Gina Lindsey Hansford. All decisions were unanimous.
- Elizabeth J. Hovell to the Oconee County Citizens Advisory Committee on Cultural Affairs and Tourism for a two-year term expiring September 30, 2014.
- Abe Abouhamdan, Robert Isaac, Kyle Martin, Kate McDaniel, James Morris and Bob Sanders to the Oconee County Citizens Advisory Committee on Land Use and Transportation Planning for two-year terms expiring September 30, 2014.
- Adam M. Cain to the Oconee County Library Advisory Board to fill an unexpired term expiring December 31, 2014.
- Maria Caudill and Charles Hunt to the Oconee County Planning Commission for four-year terms expiring September 30, 2016.
- Richard Ashmore, Chris Butts and Brad Whyte to the Oconee County Citizens Advisory Committee on Recreational Affairs for two-year terms expiring September 30, 2014.
- David A. Francis to the Oconee County Board of Tax Assessors to fill an unexpired term expiring March 31, 2013.
