Heavy Rain Causes Corolla to Lose Control, Strike a Sign
The following information was supplied by the Watkinsville, Ga. police department.

Heavy rain was a contributing factor in a one-vehicle accident on Feb. 21 in Watkinsville, police say.
According to Chief Lee O'Dillon, the driver of a 2007 Toyota Corolla lost control and struck a sign post along Whitehall Road, damaging the car and destroying the sign.Β It happened shortly after 10 p.m., he said, and the driver was not injured.

- A 2006 Toyota 4-Runner backed into a parked 2013 Isuzu box truck at the Oconee County Library parking lot Friday around 1 p.m.. No one was injured but the SUV suffered considerable damage.
- Sunday evening police responded to a domestic situation at a Niagra Drive address. A woman and her 15-year-old daughter had been involved in a argument concerning on-going discipline problems. The situation was resolved for the time being.
Watkinsville police responded to a total of 28 calls within city limits between Feb. 18-24, 2013.
