Today is the deadline to register to vote in the July 31st primary election.

Weather: The work week gets under way with partly cloudy skies and highs in the upper 90s. The Weather Channel predicts a 20 percent chance of scattered afternoon thunderstorms.
Top things to know:
- If you aren't yet registered to vote, visit the Oconee County Board of Elections Office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. You must register by 5 p.m. in order to vote in the upcoming July 31st primary election. You can fill out an application online, but it must be printed out and turned into the local Elections Office.
- Volunteers for the Oconee County July 4th Spectacular are asked to attend a 6 p.m. meeting in the to hear an overview and do a walk through.
- It's movie on the lawn night! Teens ages 11-18 are invited to bring a blanket and enjoy a viewing of the original "Dracula" from 9-11 p.m.
