Here's what's happening in and around Oconee today.

Weather: Showers are possible, most likely before 10 a.m. The National Weather Service predicts high temperatures will be in the mid 50s.

Top things to know:

  • University of Georgia President Michael F. Adams will hold "Open Mic with Mike" for students from 5- 7 p.m. in the Myers Hall Lobby. The event is open to the public, and the news media are invited to attend; however, only UGA students may participate in the discussion, according to a news release.
  • Zumba classes are offered at the State Botanical Garden on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. Registration is $80/$60 for non-members/members for 10 classes or $10/$8 for non-members/ members per class.
  • Wednesday night is Trivia Night at Your Pie Watkinsville.Β  It begins at 7:30 p.m.
  • The Clueless Book Discussion meets at the Oconee County Library
    This month's selection is The Expats by Chris Pavone. All mystery book lovers are welcome.
