Tyler Perry Filming at Agnes ScottΒ - Decatur Patch
A large film crew descended onΒ Agnes Scott CollegeΒ on Thursday as filmmaker Tyler Perry shot scenes for his movie "Single Moms Club."
Perry directed scenes in Presser Hall. Students strolled past wardrobe racks and equipment carts as they made their way to classes.

He's also obtained permits to shoot at the Fidelity Bank building in Decatur on Dec. 16 and 17, said Katie Abel at Decatur City Hall.
Perry filmed scenes last week at theΒ Waffle House in Avondale Estates,Β a house on Lake AvondaleΒ andΒ the Allen Wilson ApartmentsΒ in Decatur.

A boy who stepped into the side of a moving vehicle in Cartersville was airlifted to an Atlanta hospital with a serious leg injury, according to theΒ Georgia State PatrolΒ andΒ Bartow County Sheriff's Office.
The child, Ean Xavier Jobgen, 11, of Cartersville, and his father were attempting to cross Cassville Road at Dean Street when about 4 p.m. he stepped into the side of a northbound Jeep Wrangler, according to GSP spokesman Gordy Wright.

Carbon Monoxide Leak at Elementary School Blamed on Human Error - Cascade Patch
Atlanta Public Schools superintendent Erroll Davis said in aΒ news conferenceΒ today that human error led to theΒ carbon monoxide leakΒ earlier this week at Finch Elementary School, causing many students and staff members to be hospitalized with the effects of what the fire department said were record high carbon monoxide levels.
βWe now believe that there was human error involved, and weβre going to track down the source of that,β Davis said.

Man In Critical Condition After Early Morning Shooting Near MidtownΒ -Β Midtown Patch
A 22-year-old man is reportedly in critical condition atΒ Grady Memorial HospitalΒ after being attacked and shot in a parking lot near Midtown early Thursday morning.
According to Atlanta Police spokesperson Kim Jones, at around 12:40 a.m. two men were looking for their car parked at theΒ Cityscape at MidtownΒ apartments when they were approached by two men.Β
