Atlanta Ranked the 8th Most Dangerous City in America by the FBI - Cascade Patch

Crime, crime, and more crime is what Atlanta news coverage can seem like some weeks.  This week has been no different with a man being shot at the Ford Factory Lofts on Ponce and a young boy being shot in the back as he slept in his South Fulton home on Thursday.  So maybe to some it is no wonder that Atlanta ranks in the top 10 most dangerous cities in America.

Recent FBI data shows that Atlanta is in fact the 8th most dangerous city in America.  You only have a more likely chance of being shot or harmed if you live in Flint, Detroit, St. Louis, Oakland, Memphis, Little Rock or Birmingham.

Sex Tapes Handed Over to Court in Waffle House CEO Harassment Case – Buckhead Patch

Sex tapes depicting Waffle House CEO Joe W. Rogers Jr. of Buckhead as nude and engaged in sexual acts were turned over to a Cobb County court on Wednesday as ordered by a judge to prevent them from being leaked to the media, according to news reports.

The recordings were handed over by the attorneys representing Rogers' former house manager, who is suing him for sexual harassment. The Marietta Daily Journal identified the woman as assistant as Mye Brooke Brindle, 43, of Acworth. Brindle has accused Rogers of fondling her and forcing her to engage in sex acts while she was his employee from 2003 to 2012.

High School Coach Resigns After Six Women Complain of Unwanted Sexual Advances – Kennesaw Patch

When Harrison High head football coach Marty Galbraith resigned last month, at least six women had complained to Cobb County School District officials that Galbraith had allegedly made unwanted sexual advances, gestures or remarks toward them.

“All I can confirm is that he’s no longer employed in the district,” Cobb County Schools spokesman Doug Goodwin told Patch last month.
