Man Trapped on Escalator After Foot Gets Stuck - Buckhead Patch

A man, who was atΒ Phipps PlazaΒ to work on the shopping center's sprinkler system, was rescued after getting his foot caught in one of the parking deck escalators.

According to a report from theΒ Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the man was carrying a ladder up the escalator when it slipped and created a wedge in the stairs of the escalator which is where the man's right foot became stuck.

It took Atlanta Firefighters an hour to remove his foot from the escalator using heavy equipment.Β

Clerk Shot in Murder-Suicide at Bartow's Barnsley Gardens ResortΒ -Cartersville Patch

Bartow County authorities are investigating an apparent murder-suicide at an upscale resort near Cartersville.

Sheriff Clark Millsap said in a statement that deputies were called toΒ Barnsley Gardens ResortΒ near Adairsville at 2:40 a.m. to reports a female clerk had been shot. The man who allegedly shot her had fled into nearby woods.Β

Suspect in Attempted Rape Spotted at Botanical Garden - Athens Patch

There was a delay in communication on Wednesday that prevented the University of Georgie Police from reaching theΒ State Botanical GardenΒ in time. Someone had seen a man whom they believed was the suspect in the recent attempted rape at the Botanical Garden,Β according to a story in the Athens Banner Herald.

UGA Police Chief Jimmy Williamson advises everyone to remain cautious and vigilant while they're going about their business at the State Botanical Garden.
