AT&T to Expand Mobile Coverage in Snellville
New Cell Site expansions in Snellville and Auburn activated as part of ongoing AT&T investment in local wireless network.

As part of its continuing network investment to support growing demand forΒ mobile devicesΒ and services,Β AT&T has announced the activation of new cell sites in Snellville and Auburn.
The new cell site in Snellville will provide coverage along Ronald Reagan Parkway and surrounding areas. The expansion is part of AT&Tβs ongoing efforts to drive innovation and extend itsΒ mobile Internet network.Β

With a capital expenditure of $20.1 billion, AT&T was named the top "investment hero" in theΒ Progressive Policy Institute (PPI) report forΒ its investment in America, which is driving job growth. This report highlights the top 25 American companies that spent the most money in 2011 investing domestically on things like new plants, new technology, and new equipment.
AT&TβsΒ mobile Internet networkΒ is based on the Global System for Mobile (GSM) standard, the most open and widely used wireless network platforms in the world. AT&T offers data roaming in 200 countries, as well as voice calling in more than 225 countries.
AT&T also operates the nationβs largest Wi-Fi networkΒ among wireless carriers with nearly 30,000 hotspots in the U.S. and provides access to nearly 225,000 hotspots globally through roaming agreements. Most AT&T smartphone customers get access to our entire nationalΒ Wi-Fi networkΒ at no additional cost, and Wi-Fi usage doesnβt count against customersβ monthly wireless data plans.
