GameStop, Nail Salon Burglarized on Same Night

The two Scenic Highway stores in Snellville reported the break-ins last week.

Two Snellville businesses, GameStop and a nail salon next door, reported burglaries on the same night last week that appear to be connected.

According to the Snellville Police reports, the assistant manager of the gaming store on Scenic Highway opened the security gate and front door around 9:24 a.m. Nov. 14 to find the store in disarray: The cabinets in front of the business were open, some ceiling tiles were missing, and there were holes punched in the wall.

The damaged wall was connected to Solar Nails next door. The salon owner told police that he arrived at his store at 9:15 a.m. to find the door to his business pried open. Walking through the shop, he found his alarm box torn down, and the wall and ceiling damaged.

Both businesses had closed between 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. the day before. The owner and assistant manager were told to take an inventory of their stores and report back to police on what items were stolen.
