Mother Passes Away Day After Attending Daughters' Triple Wedding
Jodie, Sarah and Kaylie Swales had planned a last-minute ceremony after hearing that their mother only had a few weeks to live after battling breast cancer.
A mother of three Snellville daughters who got married in a triple wedding Sunday (Oct. 13) passed away just hours after the ceremony.
Fox 5 reports that Jodie, Sarah and Kaylie Swales had originally planned their ceremony for later this month. But last week when doctors said their mother, Becky Swales, only had a few weeks to live after battling breast cancer for four years, the sisters decided to move the date closer.
Their mother watched in the front row as the girls' father walked the brides down the aisle Sunday afternoon. Becky Swales died Monday morning (Oct. 14).
The family received much support and many donations to make sure the sisters' wedding fulfilled their dreams. The sisters told Fox 5 that they still plan to hold their reception Oct. 26.
A moment of silence took place in honor of the mother at the Snellville City Council meeting Monday.
