Police: Car Leaves After Hitting School Bus At South Gwinnett High

A total of 28 kids were on the school bus when it happened one Tuesday morning.

Students say a car hit their school bus and drove off last month at South Gwinnett High School. 

According to the Snellville Police Report, authorities reported to the scene at Skyland Drive and E. Main Street around 7:01 a.m. on a recent Tuesday.

The bus driver, 45, told officers that she was waiting to make a left turn into the bus lane at the school when she felt someone hit the bus from behind.

She walked to the back of the bus to check on the damage, which was done to the rear left bumper. A student sitting near the back said a car, believed to be a silver Toyota Rav4, had hit them and left. A total of 28 students were on the bus. 

It is unclear if the Toyota had any damage on it.
