Snellville Tourism & Trade Awards 2 Scholarships

Sarah Lawley of South Gwinnett and Erica Mills of Brookwood both plan to attend the University of Georgia next year.

Snellville Tourism & Trade awarded two $1,000 scholarships to local high school seniors this week.

Sarah Lawley of South Gwinnett and Erica Mills of Brookwood both plan to attend the University of Georgia next year.

Lawley has a 4.0 grade-point average and plans to study animal sciences at UGA. She hopes to train thoroughbred horses.

Mills has a 3.78 GPA and is a leading percussionist with the school band. She owns her own business, called Weed ‘Em & Reap.” She is a finalist in the Entrepreneurship Alliance’s Shark Tank competition. She plans to study landscape architecture.

To be eligible, scholarship applicants had to be members of the Future Business Leaders of America or DECA.
